Instant Pot Seaweed Soup!

In one bowl of soup you’re getting Vitamin K, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium. I grew up eating this regularly but had no idea of all of the health benefits it provides. This is my daughter’s favorite food to eat, I’m glad I can give her something healthy and nutritious!

I especially love this in the instant pot because it’s easy, quick and tastes much better than doing it over the stove! I throw everything in and just go about my day.

I tried to make this as easy as possible, enjoy!

SEAWEED SOUP RECIPE

Ingredients:

3/4 cup of chopped stew meat

avocado oil

2 cups of seaweed

1 tbsp garlic

6 qt of water

salt to taste

APPLIANCE: 8 QUART INSTANT POT

#1 Turn instant pot on SAUTE mode and wait for it to heat up.

#2 Throw in about 2 tbsp of avocado oil and saute the meat for 2 minutes.

#3 Toss in the seaweed and saute for another 2 minutes

#4 Add in garlic and saute for 30 seconds.

#5 Turn off SAUTE mode and add in 6 QTs or less of water.

#6 Close Instant Pot lid and input either manual time (30 minutes) or SOUP/BROTH mode. Let it natural release. Should take a little over an hour.

#7 Add salt to taste (about 1 1/2 TBSP of kosher salt). and done!
